Products and batches are kept separate in our records. A product describes the catalogue item; a batch describes a specific received lot. Analytical reports are attached to the batch they were drawn from — never to the product as a whole.
This means documentation is never reused across future lots, and the report you read corresponds to the lot number on the vial in front of you.
